Fundraise minimum to enter: $3,500 (can include a corporate match)
Every dollar raised has an impact on Canadians that must travel for medical care. The full-cost of a typical trip for medical care (round trip flight, accommodations, meals and rides) is roughly $1,000 - so each $1,000 your team raises will help one family in need.
And … teams can earn bonus points! For every incremental $1,000 raised above the minimum $3,500, your team will receive a bonus point. The more bonus points you have going into event day, the higher your final cumulative score will be.
Expect great prizes for being a top fundraiser; like a private flight above Niagara Falls! The Haul For Hope Challenge winners will earn the sweet bragging rights that come with being the fastest pulling team. See you on the tarmac!
HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO FUNDRAISE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PLANE PULL?
Let’s break it down! Your team fundraising goal is $3,500.
Your team has 10 people, so each person should raise a minimum of $175, and the company will match it, turning $1,750 x 2 = $3,500!
But don’t stop there… every dollar you raise has an impact on Canadians that must travel for medical care. The full-cost of a typical trip for medical care (round trip flight, accommodations, meals and rides) is roughly $1,000 - so each $1,000 your team raises helps one family in need.
And you can earn bonus points! For every incremental $1,000 raised above the minimum $3,500, your team will receive a bonus point. The more bonus points you have going into event day, the higher your cumulative score will be. Eg. The winner of the Haul For Hope Challenge will be decided by the fastest pull time PLUS any additional bonus points. So a team with a slightly slower pull time, but +2 bonus points going into the competition, could have the chance to win with a cumulative high score.
IS THERE A PRIZE FOR TOP TEAM AND FUNDRAISERS?
Yes!
The top team (time and fundraising combined) at each location will earn an upscale catered lunch at their office with a Hope Air speaker - an opportunity to share the stories of glory and inspiration from the event with your colleagues.
Individuals will earn one entry into a prize draw for every $500 they raise. A winner will be selected from each location for a once-in-a-lifetime flight opportunity with a Hope Air Volunteer Pilot. You and two guests (your CEO? clients and vendors? or just good friends) will join our pilot on a 1-2 hour sight seeing flight near your city at a mutually agreed upon date and time (flights are subject to weather, and winter flying blackouts apply).
